I was just diagnosed with very low low levels of DHEA, 1.7 and I'm a female age 41. I also cannot sleep as I wake every 2 hrs. I feel also that I may have estrogen imbalance.

My cousin’s sister is now age 47.
She is living in Erode Tamilnadu in India. She is now suffering from irregular periods with excess bleeding.
While analysis her previous history she was in the habit of taking medicines at her own accord to postpone her periods for various reasons without consulting the doctor.
She consulted the doctor and was told that lot of stones (fibroid tumors) of various sizes were found in her uterus. So her uterus is to be removed.
I do not know whether hormone therapy can help to relieve her symptoms. The doctor said this is the latest stage and stones had been formed due to taking medicine frequently on her own accord.
According to the doctor, the uterus has to be removed in order to avoid further complications. I fear that because of the surgery her estrogen level may decrease suddenly.
The doctor said the symptom of menopause could be relieved by taking hormones. Every one should take a lesson that without consulting the doctor medicine should not be taken.
