Eating Organic For The First Time - Nikolini Cafe

by Lisa
(Lexington, Nebraska)

My name is Lisa and I am from Lexington, Nebraska. Let me tell you about my first experience in an organic restaurant!

My family and I went to Dallas, Texas last year for our vacation. While we were there my sister who is very much into eating healthy suggested that we go out to eat at Nikolini Cafe, which is a restaurant that only serves organic food.

At first I was skeptical because I thought that everything at an organic restaurant would be tasteless and bland, sort of like hospital food.

But was I wrong! It turned out to be one of the best meals I have ever eaten at a restaurant. All the fruits vegetables and even the meats were one hundred percent organically raised.

Each dish was prepared in small batches to preserve the nutritional value and the taste of the recipe. The food was absolutely great.

I was so impressed by our eating experience at Nikolini Cafe that now I even try to buy organic foods for the meals I cook at home.

Nikolini Cafe gave us the jump start to a healthier lifestyle.

Rene's Organic Restaurant in Waco Texas

The Mouthwatering Tofu Omlette

The Mouthwatering Tofu Omlette

I went on a trip to Texas to meet my brother on New Year’s Eve. The only thing that I still remember about that trip is Rene's Organic Restaurant. It is located at Speight Ave.
In Waco, Texas.

My brother took me to this restaurant for brunch. The Atmosphere in Rene's is cozy and the food is delicious and healthy. I ordered Tofu omelet and my bro had tofu scramble.

The food was so tasty that I ordered a plate of French style omelet, even though my belly is full. From that day on, whenever I went to Texas I always visited Rene's at least once, no matter how much hectic my schedule is.

The food here is addictive. The most exceptional thing about the restaurant is the variety. Some of the items on the menu are combination of food I have never seen anywhere else.

If you live in Texas or are planning to visit, I would highly recommend checking out this Organic restaurant for its delicious food at reasonable prices.

It's Not Easy Being Green...But In San Antonio, It's Tasty Eating!

Green Vegetarian Cuisine Ambiance

Green Vegetarian Cuisine Ambiance

Green Vegetarian Cuisine and Coffee is an organic restaurant that will appeal to diners of all sorts -- both folks who care about their footprint, and folks who are just looking for some tasty comfort food.

Located just south of downtown San Antonio, Green is a real rarity for the city. Not only is it one of the few vegetarian joints in town, but also it's the only 100% kosher restaurant in the city -- and most likely the state.

Locals have embraced the restaurant in spite of the lack of meat, because Green just plainly cooks up some good food.

I love going to Green for breakfast because they have fantastic breakfast tacos. My favorites are the classic bean-and-cheese, as well as the "chorizo" and egg taco.

I'm not quite sure how they get tofu to taste so much like chorizo, but I'm grateful they've figured it out. The best part is that tacos are only $1.59 apiece, so I don't have to bust my budget when I treat myself to a breakfast out.

The wait staff at Green are friendly and don't rush you, which is nice when you want to linger with your paper and coffee. They can also help with meal suggestions when you bring friends who don't like eating veggies!

If you have not eaten in an organic restaurant before then you are in for a treat, and if you have, you will be glad you tried out this one!
