I had never eaten out at an organic restaurant till about three weeks ago.
I was never into the big organic non-chemical fad that is hitting the country and so I was expecting the worst when I walked in.
We went to “The Organic Grill” and I must say, the food was one hundred times better than I expected. I had no idea what to order so I asked the waiter if he could recommend something and surprise me.
First, he brought out some steamed vegetables for use to have as an appetizer. I was surprised with what he brought me for an entrée. Seeing I was Italian, he sent me out a pizza pie.
It was not a normal pizza though. It was grilled, and was slightly charred. It was made with fresh organic tomatoes and then some vegan cheese. It was reasonably priced and tasted very good.
I asked my wife if she could make that for dinner sometimes instead of the usual pizza and we have had it three times since our trip.
I was pleasantly surprised by my first organic restaurant and will try more organic foods after this experience.

While visiting New York last year on my regular business trips, I got time to move around in the beautiful city.
One of my colleagues had told me about the delicious organic food restaurants in the main city. I decided to step inside a restaurant that was specialized in serving delicious organic foods. By chance, it turned out to be Gustorganics.
They not only serve assorted vegetable meals but also serve natural extracts in the forms of juices. I saw various vegetable dishes in the menu card and ordered on vegetable omelet for me and to my amazement, it was the best breakfast I ever had.

I live in New Paltz, New York and on Main Street there is this restaurant called Karma Road.
It is an organic vegetarian cafe that also makes organic smoothies. They offer all different types of sandwiches, salads and fresh fruits.
I haven’t gone recently but from what I can remember I ordered a sandwich that had organic casein free soy cheese, romaine lettuce, and the most delicious gluten free bread. It was AMAZING!

For those of you traveling to Saratoga Springs, NY either for racing season or during other tourist times, you will find a local organic restaurant right off of the main thoroughfare in the city.
For residents that enjoy organic foods, the cafe is not a secret. It is the Four Seasons Natural Foods Store. It is also, however, a cafe. As with most such stores, they have a good selection of natural and organic produce, teas, coffees and other items.
What is really great, however, is that if you are strolling in the city and want to eat, the cafe offers a myriad of choices. They have different types of soups, which obviously vary but usually include a vegetarian chili, a lentil, navy bean, tomato and other types of vegetable soups.
They have salads with hummus spread on tabouli and sides including potato salad and black bean pate. You can also add sesame noodles and other vegetables. For main dishes they have tempeh stew, mac and soy cheese and other items including a bean burrito and vegetable lasagna.
All in all, you should easily find something for everyone in your group to eat a healthy, natural and organic meal or if you want to pick up groceries or products for yourself or as a gift.
