Hope this helps?

Okay, here's what you do. First, find a doctor that deals in both pharmaceuticals and homeopathy.

Mine is an MD who prescribes my thryroid (Armour,a bioidentical),blood pressure, etc with pharmaceuticals;however, she has also run the 24 hour urine collection test. This told her all she needed to know about my cortisol levels.

More than anything I get so angry when doctors treat you as if you don't know your own body. It's crucial that you find someone you trust and who will work in a much smaller 'normal range' that the other doctors.

The low cortisol levels were undetectable in all the other tests (and there were hundreds of pages of results). I also like the fact that two doctors are treating me instead of a host of specialists.

I am currently on Cortef 5mg (cortisol), but I'm also taking Low Dose Naltrexone 4.5 mg for fibromyalgic symptoms. These, with xanax and valium for anxiety as a result of the all this mess, and I'm on the road to recovery.

I'm also being treated with a compound cream, bioidentical combination of estrogen, progesterone, testosterone and DHEA for menopause. Life's a bitch, but you gotta fight the bitch. It's all part of the journey. Hope this helps you feel as good as I do?

Same symptoms

I am feeling just like you are describing and one blood work showed my thyroid at 7.9. Went for a blood test one month later and it was 4.9.

He said that was normal and thinks it is all depression. A few years ago I went to my doctor because of my fatigue and I have no adrenalin to deal with anything and I'm so tired when I get up in the morning, can't think and feel confused.

He checked me for Addison's (but he didn't want to) but said I was normal. I lost my jobs two years ago and all these symptoms have tripled and I don't want to continue to live this way!

I thought maybe it was my thyroid and begged him to try it. He also is sending me for blood work to check my cortisol levels but your cortisol levels vary through out the day and I'm afraid they will come back normal too.

I know it is my adrenals but I don't have insurance to go to all these doctors. What time of day did you have yours done? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
