Best Antiaging Products for Skin, Face, and Eyes

by Kelly

Hi! Just wondering if you have any recommendations on which skincare products work best for young folks that would like to be pro-active in reducing or delaying the development of wrinkles.

I know there are a lot of products on the market made specifically for your body, face and especially around the eyes. Are there any that work better than others? If so, are there different options for different budgets?

Thanks in advance!

Best Antiaging Products for Skin, Hair, and Eyes
by: George Parigian Jr.

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for this question.

Younger people need to focus on keeping their skin clean, and protecting it from extremes of weather and climate such as preventing windburn, excess sun exposure, and dehydration from dry air.

As a young person your skin has yet to show real aging effects so prevention is what is most important.

Some products intended for older people are cosmetic and improve the appearance of skin, rather than having real antiaging effects.

One key ingredient in skin creams and even supplements taken internally is hyaluronic acid. This substance diminishes in skin as we age, and so supplying it in the form of a supplement will make your skin feel better and look younger.

Other products such as those containing ?humectants? like NaPCA will help hydrate the skin and make it look smoother and softer.

Twinlab makes an inexpensive product called ?NaPCA? which you can get on the Internet. It is one of my favorites and I have used it for years.

A pricier product that doubles as an antioxidant with health benefits all around is something called Isotonix Beauty Blend

Just to be honest, I will tell you that I am a distributor for the Isotonix products, but there are other good quality products out there to choose from.

Products containing humectants keep your skin hydrated and soft.

Products containing antioxidants protect collagen and elastin and prevent wrinkles.

Good sunscreens can offer protection if you are out in the sun for extended periods of time.

Don?t forget fresh fruit and vegetable juices that contain potent antioxidants. If your budget is limited, invest in a good juicer and juice some dark colored fruits and vegetables every day. That is perhaps a cheaper way to get antioxidants called ?polyphenols? to help protect your skin from aging.

When trying to evaluate products check out sites like Amazon that provide customer reviews. Also take a look at the Life Extension site, because they often site scientific studies done on particular nutrients and ingredients in their products.

To sum up, focus on preventing damage to your skin from the sun, cold, and wind. Avoid excess alcohol, and eat a clean diet with fresh fruit and vegetable juices. Exercise on a regular basis; use a good all around multivitamin/mineral supplement and a good antioxidant blend.

Good Luck and Good Health,

George
