Wrinkles Around the Eyes

by Josh Waters
(Los Angeles, CA)

Hello. I am a 39-year-old husband and father of two living in Southern California.

I have wrinkles forming around and below my eyes. They have increased in depth and length over the past 2 to 3 years. I have a brother who is 3 years older yet he has far fewer wrinkles than I have.

He and I have very similar work schedules. We both have two children and our home lives are similar in general. We both live in the Southern California area. He and I are both non-smokers and moderate drinkers (one to three per week).

What would cause me to have more wrinkles despite being 3 years his junior? What are the best remedies for wrinkle reduction?

What foods are best for helping prevent or reduce facial wrinkles?

Wrinkles Around the Eyes - What To Do
by: George Parigian Jr.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for the question!

What I tell people is that a diet of unprocessed foods is best for all aspects of health, including the appearance of your skin.

I would suggest juicing as a good start, because fresh fruit and vegetable juices have what are called phytonutrients that are very beneficial for skin health and appearance.

Make sure you are drinking plenty of clean pure water each day, because dehydration will tend to make your skin older.

Wrinkles are a sign of cross-linking of your tissues and antioxidants and enzymes such as in the fresh juices I mentioned can combat this.

Let me mention several products that you might find helpful:

NaPCA with Aloe by Twinlab

?Aqua Gel? by Nutrition Coalition

There is also something called ?Hyaluronic Acid? which is an essential component of all our tissues including skin. It is available in supplement form and will definitely help improve the texture and appearance of your skin.

Also check out ReguŽ-Age, PEPHAŽ-TIGHT, and Matrixyl? 3000 (palmitoyl tetrapeptide-3).
These are pretty effective skin antiaging agents that you may find improve the look of your skin.

However, start with a healthy diet of unprocessed foods, juices, and plenty of clean water, and add the other items in as you feel you need to.

Hope that helps!

Best Regards,

George
