My Favorite Juicing Recipes

I own a Lack LaLane Stainless-steel power juicer that I purchased from Costco. My juicer is excellent. It is easy to clean and to maintain, it runs for a long time without clogging, and is very efficient. So far the pulp collector has only gotten full once or twice while juicing, and that was for very big jobs.

So far I've primarily used it to juice fruit and veggies and drink them raw. Soup also seems to work quite well. I've dabbled a bit with using the pulp to make ice cream-like creations, but have been mostly unsuccessful with that so far. Here are some of my favorite recipes:

Carrot drink:
Put in 1 stick of celery for every 4 carrots you want to juice. This way the juicer doesn't get clogged, and it adds to the flavor.


Apple Juice
1 Granny smith apple (or other sour apple)
4 sweet apples of your choice
I noticed that if you juice only sweet apples or only sour apples, the flavor doesn't come out as nice, but the above combination is absolutely delicious.


Soup
1 onion
10 carrots
2 potatoes
Half a stalk of celery

Just juice and cook on medium heat for 15 minutes. It's easy and delicious.


Peach Juice
For every 5 peaches add in a pear and it's excellent!

Be creative and don't be afraid to combine various fruits and veggies and you should get something fantastic!

My Favorite Beetroot Juice Recipe

I found this recipe by accident when I was looking for ways to get rid of cellulite...

It worked so fast (I could see a difference in 3 days) so I stuck with it since then, and I keep drinking it every morning. It keeps

me going until noon, so its good all over.

Here's the recipe:

Combine beetroot juice with cucumber, celery, 1/2 lemon and grated ginger to balance the sweet taste of the beetroot.

You only need to drink a small amount of beetroot to enjoy the beetroot benefits.

Of course to juice it raw is better, so you'll need a strong juicer for this.

The "Power Juice" Recipe

The ingredients:

1 red apple
1 medium size carrot
5 slices of cucumber
1 stalk of celery (optional)
1 big glass of cold water
1 tbsp of honey or 1 tsp of muscovado sugar
A juice from one lemon if you want a sour flavor

Instructions:

Mix the apple (the greener, the better), stalk of celery, carrot, five slices of cucumber, lemon juice and honey or sugar in your juicer (or a blender) with ice-cold water. Puree into a shake.

Drink immediately before it oxidizes.

The health part:

Carrots can help an inflamed colon.

The skin of apple contains pectin, which help remove noxious substances from the system. Pectin helps to prevent protein matter in the intestines from spoiling.

The juice of a lemon is a natural antiseptic; it will help destroy harmful bacteria.

Celery has been known to help in diseases of the kidneys, pancreas, liver and gallbladder.

Cucumbers contain Erepsin, an enzyme that helps to digest protein.

Honey is just a great super food and contains many nutrients that help your digestive tract in many ways.

Alkaline Drink Juice Recipe
- Orange-Grapefruit-Lemon Juice:
- 1 orange, ¼ grapefruit, ¼ lemon with skin.
- Remember to discard the peel from the orange and grapefruit, leaving as much of the white pith on them as possible

- Carrot-Cabbage-Celery Juice:
- 2 carrots, 1 3-inch wedge of cabbage, 1 stalk of celery


Natural Laxative Juice Recipe
- Apple-Pear Juice:
- 2-3 apples, 1 pear


Blood Purifier Recipe
- Apple-Strawberry Juice:
- 3 Golden Delicious or other sweet apples, 8 strawberries


Nausea Relief Recipe
- Apple-Ginger Juice:
- 4 apples, 1-inch knob of ginger root


Anti-Virus/Cold Prevention - high in vitamin C
- Apple-Kiwi Juice:
- 2 apples, 4 kiwis

- Apple-Orange Juice:
- 2 apples, 1 orange (peel and discard skin of the orange)

- Pineapple-Tangerine Juice:

- 1 1-inch thick pineapple round, 3-4 tangerines (peel and discard skin of tangerine)

My Favorite Juice

My wife and I bought our first juicer about eight years ago, and we both love making fresh, homemade juice.

We've upgraded to a newer model since then, but we've never for a moment regretted our investment in a kitchen appliance that's brought us a great deal of pleasure, as well as providing us with priceless health benefits.

Almost as much fun as making juice has been looking for new recipes, and new combinations of fruits and vegetables to try. But one of my favorite fresh juices, especially for mornings, is one made from:

  • 3 oranges

  • 1 mango

  • 1 peach

  • 1 lemon

  • 1 lime

  • 1 medium piece of watermelon

  • a pinch of ginger


It's delicious, refreshing, eye opening, and of course the best thing about it is that it's good for you. I love to drink a glass with breakfast, and then pop the rest into the fridge to have later in the day IF it doesn't disappear before I get the chance!
